December 2022 Goals - Raleigh Photographer
And here we are at the last lap of 2022. I’m determined to make this month count! My focuses this month will be on purging and consistency. For me, that means literally purging my home of the things we don’t use/no longer need, but also purging bad habits and negative self talk that’s been holding me back from getting where I want to be. In the process, I’ll be working on finding and implementing new routines that work for me. I recently shared that my twins turned one year old last month. What a year it has been! In the past year, I’ve noticed that I’ve done what most mothers tend to do: put myself on the back burner for my kids. To a certain extent, it’s something that has to be done while your babies are in the newborn stage, but I know that if I don’t care for myself, I can’t properly care for my kids. I can’t pour from an empty cup. Not only that, but it’s not really a good thing to model for the young women I’m raising.
Maybe that’s you today. Maybe you can feel yourself running close to E, but you’re not sure how to fill your tank. I encourage you to make time to think about what fills your cup this month. I know the holidays are coming, and it can be a fun/sad/exciting/stressful time based on your experience with the holidays. But even if it’s something you put off until after Christmas, this is a great time of year for reflection — to think about what served you well this year and decide to leave some bad habits in 2022 as you look forward to the new year. Here’s what I’ll be working on this month:
PERSONAL
Close Apple Watch rings daily
Russell Family portraits for holiday cards
Spend Christmas with my family
Purge the kids’ toys
Create better getting ready routine for school days
Get connected with the Triangle Parents of Multiples group
